Wow, has it really been a year since the last one?!

Alice Day 2022 is here, a day of celebration of all things Girl love. A day to truly appreciate the beauty of little girls everywhere.

This Monday we encourage you to spend the day with the little girl in your life, and teach them all about the special love Lewis Carol shared with his young friend, leading to the creation of one of the world most famed novels, Alice In Wonderland, where this site and this special Monday got its name from.

"But I don't have a little girl in my life" I hear you say! Fear not you can still join in the celebrations! First of all we encourage you to wear something pink to mark the occasion (but please don't assume everyone you see in town wearing pink on Monday is a MAP )

By the way, may I make a suggestion or two? Every Alice Day, could we mention the date in which Alice Day falls? Considering some people may not know about it and may still be on April 24th at the moment this post is made, making them believe that it falls on the 24th. The other suggestion is to remind the community the reason why Alice Day is celebrated on April 25th each year, reason which I'm not certain I remember myself. Was it because it was on this date that Alice Liddell and Charles Dodgson first met?

Yep, it's the 25th, celebrating the day Alice Liddell and Charles Dodgson met, but by extension celebrating the wonderful positive relationships that can flourish between adults and girls, and the inspiration they are in our lives.

Also, some of us recognize a sort of "Alice Week" (partially because it's unfair to Italian GLers who are also busy celebrating Liberation Day) that goes from the day they met, until Alice's birthday (April 25 to 4th of May), the date the 4th of May appears in at least a couple of times in Carrol's books and/or poems.
